Escape rooms arrived in Istanbul about a decade ago and Escape Club is among the longer-running operators. Teams are locked into a themed room and have sixty minutes to work through a chain of puzzles to get out.
Several rooms run in parallel, with themes ranging from Ottoman-era mysteries to more conventional thriller settings. Groups of two to six work best; below two the puzzles get slow, above six the room gets crowded.
Sessions are booked in advance by time slot, and games are available in Turkish and English. Allow ninety minutes including the briefing.
From Hotel Sultania it is a short taxi ride, around fifteen minutes depending on traffic.
