Zorlu Performing Arts Center opened in 2013 in Besiktas and is the largest venue of its kind in Turkey. The main hall seats around two thousand two hundred and was built with a stage deep enough to take touring musicals in their full staging.
Programming covers musicals, ballet, opera, orchestral concerts and international touring acts, with a smaller studio theatre for drama and stand-up. Broadway and West End productions that reach Turkey usually play here.
Tickets are sold online and through the box office. Performances typically begin at 20:00 or 20:30, and the centre sits inside a complex with restaurants for before or after.
From Hotel Sultania take the tram to Kabatas and the M2 metro to Gayrettepe; around forty minutes.
